Action for Children’s Arts was founded in 1998 by Vicky Ireland MBE and a group of like-minded children’s arts professionals. We value children, childhood and the arts, and take a keen interest in all arts activities for children aged 0-12.

 

Our priorities are ‘the three Cs’:

• Campaigning for the right of every child to access the arts
• Connecting children’s arts practitioners
• Celebrating the people who work in children’s arts at our annual JM Barrie Awards

We are a membership organisation, a charity, and a company limited by guarantee in England and Wales. Our membership ranges from individual teachers, practitioners and loyal supporters, to some of the UK’s largest arts organisations. Find out more on our website.
